Book: "Courageous Follower"

Purpose

FInding Joy in the Struggle with the Study of God @ Work

In 1990 I went to a Your Work Matters to God Bible study. The study was at a guy's office (Gary Seale) and on a Thursday at lunch. Looking back, where I was in life, by attitude...well, it had to be God thing.
The materials were by Doug Sherman and I was introduced to a God who works..Genesis 1:1..let there be light, 7..He made the sky, 16..God made the sun and moon, 24....He made creatures in their own image, 26...He made man in His image. From the first lesson, I've been changing, and my reason to work has changed.
After the 12 week study I went to Pastor Morrison looking to continue with another class. Morrison strongly suggested I lead a study with the same materials I had just finished. This study led to a few more over the years and my view of work, the Bible, and Christianity has evolved since. And my attitude about work has gradually changed; the work can be hard, but my approach and reason has changed.
Ten years later another pastor, Paul Uttnage, introduced me to DTS Leaderboard and a series of meetings over a three year period. That turn in my path led me to Bakke Graduate University and its Theology of Work class which I audited in the Spring, 2008. This blog began during that class has become more of an ongoing thought process and material dump. It springs out of my continued struggle as I live and practice a "worldview" of theology of work; and it's a good struggle.

James 1: 2-4, Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
